Tim Staples was the keynote for the first ever Immaculate Heart Radio KSFB 1260 AM Benefit Dinner in San Francisco on Wednesday October 22nd at St. Mary's Cathedral. This dinner was held just after the new station marked 10 months of 24 hr a day broadcasting to an area with well over 9 million potential listeners, and an average of 400,000 listeners at any given time! Never before has a Non-profit radio apostolate covered such a large area with up to date Catholic Programming from around the world!
Long in coming to the San Francisco area, this station represents a labor of love spanning three decades of ground work and prayer. "Getting people to support Catholic radio when there isn't YET a station to listen to - so as to know what a positive difference it makes - is like trying to sell the sizzle on a steak that hasn't even been cooked yet" said Rick Schmidt, General Manager of KNOM a Catholic Radio station in the outpost of Nome Alaska.

KSFB is a 100% listener supported radio station that is in the process of developing a local programming block called "The Bishop's Hour" which will feature spotlights on parish and school activities in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as regional lay catholic activities and ministries.
